This painting is slooooooow going.

Especially when you spend three days in New Jersey bustin' yer butt for work, but nevertheless.....

First, the background (with photobombing sunlight).

Hooves that took me forever.  In order to qualify for registration, appaloosas must have striped hooves.  I am particularly thrilled with this requirement at the moment.  Blah.

Yesterday the boys were trimmed.  Beforehand, Gene demonstrated the insulating powers of his winter coat.
