Work's been delayed until 12pm (so far) which means I get to schlep out into the snow for a 3.5 hour workday. Right now, there is a war in my yard around my feeders between the grackles and the red wing blackbirds.
But until then, a total non-horse post. The horses are currently bundled under their blankets (the thought of rain turning to mix turning to snow turning into a nighttime low of 3 brings out the blanketer in me), so hopefully they are doing fine.
I mentioned before that Richard is now a kyudo student. This weekend, he got his uniform (well, most of it).

Even though he is a kyudo (samurai archery) student, his dojo considers themselves to be swordsmen who do archery, not archers who play with swords. As such, he needs a basic understanding of sword techniques, so with the uniform (which has the obi/belt underneath the hakama/pants for holding a sword) his sensei started him on sword work.

The Dutch are tough people so yeah they'd make good samurai!
