I totally, shamelessly, and completely stole the idea of putting dog ID tags on my horses. I saw them in a picture of Dixie and thought, duh, what a great idea.
I have two for each horse - one for the halter and one for the bridle - so that if anything should happen and we are separated in Fair Hill they will be easily identified.

It does! I still want to get them microchipped, but that doesn't help when some yellow horse comes up to a stranger in the middle of a forest. :)
