Night Heron - done?

I had the night to myself, so after scarfing a gargantuan salad I took the next 5 hours or so and finished the painting.

I think so... anyway.  I'll wait until tomorrow to varnish it so I have time to go back in and be fiddly.

I also tried scanning it instead of photographing it.  My scan bed is way too small - the painting is 11" x 14" - so if all went well I'd merge together 4 images for a whole.

Well, it didn't go well, instead it was blurry since it couldn't sit on the bed, but at least the colors are pretty accurate.  So... here's most of it.

We'll see if I can still live with it tomorrow.
