It took me hours to do one leg and foot...
And I hated it. There were so many colors - a lot of blues oddly - in that foot and I thought I'd make a mess of it so I kept them out of it. I used just yellows and I couldn't stand it. I decided to try to tackle it again another day.
And here it is, looking all washed out in the photo. But, I got a lot of the blue tones in there and I'm a much happier camper. :) The other foot is in too, which is far more yellow. And, of course, the colors suck dingoes kidneys in the photos.
This is the real little bugger, pretending to have no neck. It's something night herons like to do.
